Blessings in a Backpack
The "Blessings in a Backpack" program helps meet the needs of hungry children in our area. Backpacks will be given to children on Fridays who receive free or reduced lunches, selected by the school counselor.
The backpacks include six kid friendly meals that are nonperishable & easily to prepare. The children return the backpacks to school on Monday and are refilled by HPBC for the following Friday.
The cost to become a backpack partner is $5.00 a weekend or $20 a month. For only $100 you can send a child home with 6 meals from Jan. 14th until the end of school in May. Call the church office or contact Tammy tkirkland@hilandpark.org for more info.

Preschool VIPS and Children grades 1-5 Volunteers Needed
Our
preschool and children’s departments are over flowing with babies. This
ministry is a vital part of our church and it’s growth. If you have
been looking for a place to serve that minimal time and reaps many hugs
and a lot of laughter, this is the place for you! We need preschool and
children VIP volunteers to give one hour of your Sunday just 2 or 3
times a year! Please sign up in foyer.
School Encourager/MentorWould you be willing to mentor an at- risk child for one hour a week and make a Kingdom difference?
